Account Deletion Requests

At Ijeoma Limited®, we respect Ije™ users’ privacy and provide the ability to request deletion of personal accounts and associated data. Account deletion is processed strictly upon user request and is not performed automatically. Users may request account deletion by contacting Ije™ customer support through the official support channels provided within the platform or on our website.

Verification Process

Before processing any deletion request, Ije™ may verify the identity of the account owner to prevent unauthorized access or fraudulent deletion requests.

 

What Happens When an Account Is Deleted

Once a deletion request is approved and processed:

  • Access to the Ije™ account will be permanently disabled.
  • Certain personal information may be permanently deleted from active systems.
  • Some information may be anonymized, masked, or de-identified instead of fully deleted where: retention is required by law, data is necessary for fraud prevention or dispute resolution, records are needed for financial, tax, regulatory, or compliance purposes, or retaining limited operational data is necessary for legitimate business interests.

 

Data That May Be Deleted

Depending on applicable legal and operational requirements, Ije™ may delete:

  • Profile information
  • Saved payment references
  • Contact details
  • Ride preferences
  • Marketing preferences
  • In-app communications

 

Data That May Be Retained or Masked

Certain records may be retained in a masked, anonymized, or restricted-access format, including:

  • Transaction and payment records
  • Ride history
  • Safety and incident reports
  • Device and security logs
  • Regulatory compliance records
  • Fraud prevention records

Masked or anonymized data cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual user.

 

Processing Timeline

Deletion requests may require a reasonable processing period to complete across all systems and backups. During this period, some data may remain temporarily accessible in secure archived environments.

 

Re-Registration

After account deletion, users may be required to create a new account to use Ije™ services again. Previous account history or preferences may not be recoverable.

 

Policy Updates

Ije™ reserves the right to update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or platform changes.
